
The circa 1850 Claiborne Kyle Log House is a rare four-pen dogtrot log home that still stands on its original site, perched on a bluff along the Blanco River near Kyle, Texas. This historic property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a designated State Antiquities Landmark, and Recorded Texas Historic Landmark. Owned by Hays County and managed by the Claiborne Kyle Log House Commission, the house is currently closed to the public for necessary repairs and maintenance.
